Info

My name is Daniel Galvin. I have been a photographer for five years. I have exhibited at four different shows in the Elgin area of Illinois, published a book, and sold nearly $100 worth of merchandise in sales. I studied photography under Travis Linville, Claire St. John, and Ellen Vartanian-Maher at Elgin Community College. I have done work with both digital and film development, along with various styles of photography (portraiture, landscapes, digital manipulation, etc.). I have used both natural and studio lighting for my various projects. My favorite photographers, whom I most take inspiration from, are Julia Margaret Cameron, James Nachtwey, and Sandro Miller. I also take inspiration from various film directors and cinematographers. These inspirations include Clint Eastwood, Tom Stern, Roger Deakins, Steven Spielberg, Frank Capra, Kathryn Bigelow, and Janusz Kaminski.

Shows that I have exhibited at:

- Famous Poses Through the Lens at Sidestreet Studios (2014)

- Elgin Community College Juried Student Art Competition (2015)

- RE: Visit Elgin at Imago Creative Studios (2015)

- Judson University Juried Student Art Competition (2016)
